A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to inactive addresses under the same domain. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get messages from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a web hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a few features, but it is astonishingly simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just a single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the specific email address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as simple and takes one more mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be enabled without any difficulty in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will find a tiny button conveniently situated directly next to each one of them. With only a click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this feature using the context menu that will come into sight. If any of the conditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
