Because of this we have created JailHost - an advanced security feature that isolates Internet sites from each other. In case an Internet site is compromised, the attacker will be unable to see or gain access to any other content outside the site folder, so all other sites part of this account will be protected and will be intact. The JailHost option cannot replace performing regular script updates or using difficult passwords, but it will minimize the damage to your websites significantly, so you'll have to fix only one site rather than all of them.

JailHost in Web Hosting

If you host your websites within a web hosting account from our company, you will be able to protect them by using the JailHost option with just a few mouse clicks within your Hepsia Control Panel. The option is provided with all packages and can be enabled for each folder since the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have different folders, so that files for various sites never get mixed up like it usually happens with other Control Panels. We haven't activated JailHost by default because you might use scripts that need access to folders outside the primary site folder and this option can interfere with their correct functioning, but protecting all the other folders is very easy. In case a protected website gets hacked for whatever reason, we can restore it in a short time since we'll have multiple daily backups of your entire account and you will even be able to view the available backups using Hepsia.

JailHost in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you have a semi-dedicated server account, you'll be able to start JailHost with a few clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel since we have included this option in all semi-dedicated packages. It isn't activated by default simply because you may use an app that requires access to other folders within the account and JailHost could potentially cause problems, yet you could protect all other websites by separating them from one another. This will be quite easy as in Hepsia all domains and subdomains have individual folders. In comparison, a lot of other Control Panels store the content of multiple websites in subfolders under a main domain, so a single hacked website there means that all of them will be hacked. With Hepsia, only one Internet site could get damaged and even in such a circumstance, we will quickly restore it via the multiple daily backup copies that we will keep, meaning that you can go ahead and update it after that so as to protect it from future attacks.
